Six Months and Counting

Our little darling is now six months old. (A little over a week ago.) Here are some pictures of her at the six month mark. She is still not rolling over on a consistent basis. Everytime she rolls from her back to her belly she gets so upset that she is on her tummy that she doesn't even try to roll over to her back again she just lays there and screams with her face in the blanket. Obviously, Isabel still dislikes tummy time. She has rolled over from her tummy to her back a few times, but never when she is upset for being on her tummy. She loves chewing on anything and everything. All things go straight to her mouth. She loves playing, sitting (with assistance), standing, and talking. She is learning all sorts of new sounds. At her check-up the doctor said that she is perfect. We quite agree with him.

At her six month check-up we got the following statistics:

Height: 24 1/2 inches, just over two feet. This is the 10th percentile.
Weight:12 pounds 15 ounces (SO CLOSE to 13 lbs.) This is the 1st percentile.

The doctor checked everything out and we were relieved to hear that she didn't have the heart murmur that he heard at her four month check-up.

Isabel is quite socialable and loves to giggle, smile and play, especially with her brothers. She is becoming more and more of a Mama's girl. This last week, when I worked, she let her Papa know that he was not who she wanted.

In addition to having Isabel's six month check-up this last week we had some visitors. (Sorry, Isabel, is wearing the same outfit in all these pictures, she really does have other clothes.) Here we have the two cousins, Isabel and Ella. Can you guess which one is older?

We also had Sadie over to play. She was the perfect little girl all day!! She asked for something when she needed it. She played very nicely (especially with two rambunctious little boys). She was very careful with the babies. She even asked for a diaper change every time Isabel got one, it was really cute. What a blessing to have her with us. Sadie had some exciting news to share. She will be getting a new daddy. She will now have her daddy, Chris, in Heaven to watch out for her and her daddy, Steve, here on Earth to watch our for her, also. (Congrats Jen and Steve on your engagement!!!) We loved having Sadie to play with. Please come again soon!

Sadie was here with us on the same day that Ella came to visit. So we decided to get a picture of all five of the kids, a four year old, a 2 1/2 year old, a 1 1/2 year old and the two babies. It was lots of fun!!

We also had to get a pitcure of the four cousins: Ella, Anton, Isabel and Zackary!

Later that day after naps were over we had the four kids all playing with their dolls and decided to get a picture of that. Here is Sadie with baby, Zackary with Matilda, Anton with Francesca, and Isabel with Helga. Helga is just newly christened. I decided that both Anton's and Zackary's dolls had names given by Linden and so I told Linden he needed to name Isabel's doll. He chose Helga.

This weekend we really enjoyed watching General Conference. We learned LOTS and were really able to feel the spirit. What a blessing and privilege to have a living Prophet and Apostles to lead and guide us in the latter days. We truly need the messages they share and feel very blessed to have the restored gospel in our lives. We are grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the hope and comfort that comes to our lives from the knowledge of His Sacrifice for us.

Have a great week!!

I agree she does look like the cutest, most perfect baby. And I am impressed that she is wearing pink. I look pink on cute baby girls. I can't believe our kids are six months already.
