Congratulations!

Congratulations to Leonora and Kevin on their engagement!! We are thrilled for you. You make a great couple. (Thanks to Jen for the picture of them.)

Another Busy Weekend

On Saturday we were able to attend two recitals, David's piano recital and Misit's dance recital. Both participants performed really well and we enjoyed being able to watch and listen! During the week we were also able to spend some time with Jennifer and the girls while Edwin was taking his national test. It was fun. Jennifer is looking so cute with her skinny little body and the tiny belly. We are looking forward to the new baby in September, too bad they will be in Iowa by then. Anton loves playing with Grace and Anne while Zackary is still mostly interested in doing his own thing.

Saturday was Misti's birthday. Claudette and Annikka surprised her by coming up from Ogden. They got her a tiara and birthday princess sash to wear. Hope she had a great birthday.

We finally had some warm weather this weekend, again. It was really nice. The boys love going outside.

Eight Pair in Thirteen Hours!

So, last Monday we attempted again to potty train Anton. We started out at 8 am and sat him on the toilet for 15 to 20 minutes. Then again at 9 am we repeated it, clear through the day until bed time. We got lucky once and he went in the toilet. The rest of the time it seemed that he waited to go until he got off of the toilet. Hence, we went through eight pair of underwear in the thriteen hours he was awake. The next day we tried again with the same results. Only one sticker on the potty chart. The good thing is that when his accidents reached the floor and not just his underwear and pants he showed us where we needed to clean up. Needless to say I drew the conclusion that he is not ready to be potty trained, yet. We will keep putting him on the toilet randomly and encourage him, but we will wait a while to try the timer again.

One of the boys favorite things is bath time. They love splashing in the water, playing with the bubbles and the toys. One of Zackary's tricks is to pull the plug out and try stuffing the toys down the drain. Luckily they don't fit and they all float back up. Anton likes to pull the plug and let the water drain when it is time to get out. He thinks he has to stay in the tub until all of the water is gone, every last drop, though.

Last night we had Jen and Sadie over for dinner and FHE. We had a nice time. After dinner was over and before we had started FHE Zackary snuck back to the bathroom and was playing with the bath toys. He dumped out the whole bucket of toys. Then he proceeded to throw them into the toilet. Luckily we heard him lift the toilet lid and seat and were able to get back to the bathroom before he could throw in very many toys. Linden shouted at me to bring the camera. Zackary was having a blast. Jen just laughed. Sadie will be busy with her little tricks soon enough. (Sorry for the angle, the computer switched it and I don't know how to switch it back.)
